Just a place for little bits of good singers' advice I've collected along the way. I'll post them so that the most recent ones show up at the top.

Water Up! The body distributes its water supply according to its own priorities. Top of the list are major organs - brain, heart, lungs. Then there's digestion and elimination to handle, and moving the stuff the body needs (or doesn't need) from place to place. Like it or not, singing is not considered a major priority by your body, so if you want to keep your voice hydrated, keep drinking. Use the 8 glasses of water guideline as a minimum goal. And if you have a performance, start taking your water early in the the day.
